We anticipate that blueberries will be ripe and ready to pick beginning Wednesday, June 2nd. Our hours are 8 AM to 1 PM Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Please call (903) 674-2477 before driving out to verify availability.

Q. Where are you located?
A. Kiomatia Blueberry Farm is located 6.3 miles north of Woodland at 16602 FM 410 N.

Q. What are the hours for U-Pick?
A. Pick your own operations are open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are closed Sunday, Tue and Thu. Days and times are subject to change due to availability of ripe berries, unexpected personal events and weather. Please give us a call before coming to ensure we will be open.

Q. Do I need to bring any buckets or containers?
A. We supply 1 and 2 gallon picking buckets. Customers supply take home containers.

Q. Are your blueberries organically grown?
A. No pesticides or chemicals are sprayed on the blueberries or bushes. No manure fertilizers are used. Organic and natural fertilizers are applied in limited amounts. We do not have organic certification but hope to in the future.

Q. Do you have any public restrooms?
A. We plan to have temporary restroom facilities, ie “porta-pottie”.

Q. Are your facilities accessible?
A. Currently our facilities are not fully accessible but we hope to provide such amenities in the future.

Q. Can I bring my children?
A. Of course! Children are welcome if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian that will provide supervision.

Q. Will there be drinking water, beverages or food available?
A. We recommended that customers bring their own drinking water, beverages, snacks or meals.

Q. Are there any areas to rest or take a break?
A. We supply a small shaded rest area.

Q. What should I wear?
A. Closed toe shoes and hats are recommended. And, remember to always wear sunscreen!

Q. Will there be any bugs or critters?
A. Some customers use insect repellents for gnats and mosquitos, but mosquitos are usually not a problem. Expect to step off the path into good old North American Post Oak Savannah!

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Currently, $10 per gallon. Any changes in price will simply reflect how we are impacted by changes in operation costs.
